WikiPattern: Signatures

Signature are a convention of signing contributions to pages in a wiki.

Often this is as simple as providing a name after each contribution:

I think we should have a party on June 14th.
  --Alice

Won't that conflict with the meeting we have on that day?
  --Bob

Many systems provide markup shortcuts to automatically add a signature at the time a page is saved.
