[pmwiki-devel] Page variables in recipe

Can anyone tell me why

Markup('{$MyPageVar}', '<{$var}', '/{\\$MyPageVar}/', $SomethingElse);

might have been used rather than

$FmtPV['$MyPageVar'] = "'" . $SomethingElse . "'";
