I tested a script from the internet to reduce pictures. I works fine.

the gallery in the cookbook is nice, but there is missing a mechanism to 
reduce the size of the pictures *and* to create thumbs.
That would be nice and practical, because the normal user may not have 
the feature to compress pictures.
