Umm.. in case I wasn't clear, I want to find out the pmwiki version from
an external software (Emacs). It'd be nice if there was some action in
standard pmwiki find this out (e.g.  'action=pmwiki-version'). If I send
you some code (using $Version), maybe you can incorporate it?
