The current reasons PmWiki doesn't support "sub groups" is listed
at http://www.pmwiki.org/wiki/PmWiki/HierarchicalGroups.  There was
a lot of discussion about this on pmwiki-users in June (see the archives at 
http://www.pmichaud.com/pipermail/pmwiki-users_pmichaud.com/2004-June/date.html)
; my reading of the final consensus was that we really hadn't come up with
workable solutions to the problems associated with hierarchical groups.
