Functionally everything seems to check out: 'drafts' is ready for release.

Why not &raquo; to designate a draft? Doesn't work well against a ?

Using words is a slippery slope. If you put 'draft' and 'original' then you
may also want to put 'delete' and turn '?' into 'create'. And I agree, icons
with tool tips are better, if they are done well.

Of course, individual administrators can customise the characters used.
And all the links have tool tips.
