I've just released pmwiki-2.0.devel14, the latest development release
for PmWiki 2. This version has some significant changes from the
previous development release:

- The [:directive:] syntax is now (:directive:), as requested by many
international users who found [: and :] difficult to type on non-US
keyboards. It is possible to customize PmWiki to revert back to the
[:...:] syntax if that's still desired--let me know and I'll make
   a cookbook entry for it.

- The $PageName variable is now $FullName, thus $Group gives a page's
current group, $Name gives a page's current name, and $FullName gives
$Group.$Name. $PageName itself still exists, but is deprecated and
will be removed in the official 2.0 release.

- The HTML <title> tags for most pages have been vastly improved.
The $HTMLTitleFmt variable is now deprecated and will be removed in
the 2.0 release (custom <title>s can be better specified directly
   in the layout template).

- WikiTrails can now be used as the scope of a search, and a "list=normal"
option allows pages such as RecentChanges and GroupHeader to be
suppressed from the search output. (Note: "list=normal" may change
   before the 2.0 release.)

Upgrading from a previous 2.0 development release to this one should be
a simple matter of copying the new files over the existing installation.

Upgrading a 1.0 site to the 2.0 development release takes a bit more
work, although many people are reporting success. For more details on
this upgrade, see

Bugs and feature requests can be reported to http://www.pmwiki.org/PITS
or to the mailing list.

Thanks!
