Hi folks hope all is well.
I bit the bullet. I am changing over from my installation of PmWiki
1.? to the new PmWiki 2.0 dev. The following markup does not work on
my updated site :
table align=center background: #ffffff; width: 90%'
cell align=center
[++"Something Goes Here"++] \\
$Search
cellnr
tableend
All I want to do is align the [++"Something Goes Here"++] \\ in
the middle of the page. How can I do that? The old table format does
not work. I have looked at the doc's and can't seem to find it
anywhere and all of my attempts have failed. Also putting in the
$Search doesn't work either is there a new work around?
Finally whenever I put a picture on the page it went to the far right
of the page and the text after that would simply fill in under the
original heading. How do I code the pict so that it can do that again?
Here is an example of the old code :

I am *very* happy that I am upgrading now and not later. The initial
change over was smooth and easy and I had no problems with the
installation of 2.0. However changing over all the information in the
pages to allow for the new markup is a PITA. However I do see the
improved benefits of changing over now. Just my observations for what
it's worth.
The improvements? From what I can see now, they look very promising.
For someone like myself ( overworked and with very little to no free
time ) learning the new changes will take time and I am sure will
easily become second nature eventually. Getting the cookbook back up
to speed with all the new changes will be a great help.
Outside of that ... PmWiki is one of the best tools I have **_EVER_**
had the privilege of finding on the internet. So much so that I am
using it in my Veterinary Practice to keep records on my controlled
substances, and suppliers and their products. I am now putting it to
use as a database on animal health and welfare that I can give to my
clients to use on their own computers. It is a wonderful program. My
hats off to each and everyone of you for a job well done.
Thanks in advance for all your help
I Hope This Helps ...
Keep Looking Up
