Yes, except RecentChanges isn't a "generated page" -- it's just a
wiki page like any other.  So, when it's empty, it's treated just
like any other empty page.

Just create a page called AllRecentChangesShort (or whatever you
want it to be called) containing the markup:

    (:include Main.AllRecentChanges lines=50:)

This includes only the first 50 lines of Main.AllRecentChanges.
