[pmwiki-users] AsciiMath symbol question

I'm currently trying to figure out whether AsciiMath has a representation for "is characterized by the distribution function", which is normally expressed as a tilde, ~, e.g. X ~ N(x,s^2) for a normal distribution.  Should I just resort to text{~}, or is there an expression that isn't in the example pages which accompany the plug-in?
