[pmwiki-users] Action or method to check for existance of a deleted page?

Hi

I just discovered a missing page at pmwiki.org (somebody has probably just
deleted it). However, that made me feel that it'd be good if there was a
way to check if a page has been deleted. Say for instance that you've got
the URI of a page, but there's nothing there. How do you know if your URI
is incorrect, or if the page has been deleted?

So maybe it'd be interesting with some kind of specific way to test if a
page has been deleted before you contact the administrator asking for it
to be restored.

Maybe a superset of this functionality would be to simply list the
existance of any deleted versions of the page? That might be of more
general interest. It could be as simple as

	...?action=list-deleted

Not sure how the access mechanism should work here... perhaps you should
only be allowed to actually know about any pages that you have read
authority for.

What's the thoughts on this? Is it something that deserves a PITS?
(The implementation might well simply be a cookbook recipe)

/Christian
