Unfortunately, I know very little about userauth.php or how it
works.  However, the above looks to me as though PHP is preventing
userauth.php from loading the userauth/UserSessionVars.php script.

You might check the permissions on the cookbook/userauth/ directory
and on the files in cookbook/userauth/ .  If that doesn't reveal
anything, I'm not quite sure what else to check.
