Feel free to add links wherever you think it's appropriate.  :-)
The Basic Markup page already has a link to the markup master index,
but I agree that visitors will also try the search to find it.

The (:keywords:) directive works well for this.

I agree; perhaps create a "See Also" section in the page somewhere?
