[pmwiki-users] my trail is too long

Well, not that it has too many items - the names of the items are too 
long. Example:

*[[Pres14|14 Automated Entity Extraction and Initial Inxight Tests]]
*[[Pres15|15 LinkAnalysis and Visualization Expert Presentation]]

This results in a displayed trail that is so long it wraps on the screen:
<14 Automated Entity Extraction and Initial Inxight Tests | Back To 
Contents | 15 LinkAnalysis and Visualization Expert Presentation >

(this is faked, but you get the idea.)

Is there any way to automatically truncate the displayed trail like this?
<14 Automated Entity Extrac ... | Back To Contents | 15 LinkAnalysis 
and Visuali ...>

I found that I could do it manually:
*[[Pres14|14 Automated Entity Extraction]] and Initial Inxight Tests

but I'm lazy, and it looks strange on the index page.
