[pmwiki-users] How to use RSS instead of mailposts

Hi all,

I recently saw a discussion of mailposts, and somebody recommended using
RSS instead of waiting for improved mailpost support.

I checked the various recipes on the topic, and found that it wouldn't
work too well for me. Maybe I'm dense, so please somebody enlighten me :-)

Setting up an RSS feed is simple enough (though somewhat awkward in
Firefox - you can't make the thing "dynamic" via the Properties page,
you have to create the bookmark as a "dynamic" one, and it won't display
as a link in the bookmarks-as-HTML page).
Now even with a "dynamic" bookmark, all I can do is to open the pages of
the feed in different tabs.
What I'd really need is a list of pages, and Firefox informing me which
of them have changed since I last looked.

What am I missing?

(I'd greatly prefer mailposts anyway - I get all news that I'm
interested in via mail. Setting up RSS as a separate information stream
means I have to check *two* places for changes, the Inbox and the RSS
reader. Ah well...)

Regards,
Jo
