It's working now.

First I had commented out the $PHPTHUMB_CONFIG['document_root'] in
phpThumb.config.php which led to a problem with caching. It did save the
thumbnails but the path for retrieving the cached picture was wrong.

Then I found out that it wasn't a good Idea to put the picture cache inside the
gallery dir. (This makes wikigallery try to present the thumbnails of the
thumbnails)

Currently I'm trying to integrate wikigallery with jjscms.
