I don't think PmWiki is (yet?) the best tool for managing mailing lists.
If I did, then we'd probably be using it for managing pmwiki-users.  :-)
I'm not saying it can't be done, just that it hasn't been a high
priority for us yet.

I do think that with some small extensions PmWiki could be very
usable for RSVP feedback.  Essentially each meeting or event could
be its own wiki page, and there could be links that easily add
people to the "yes", "no", or "maybe" list for each page.  Actually, 
come to think of it, this will probably be trivial to do using
the comments capability I'm currently working on.  

All I can say about Drupal is that the very limited experience
I've had with it on one site (as a user, not an administrator) 
has been quite frustrating.  But I think that may be due to the 
way this particular group has installed/configured Drupal, 
as opposed to Drupal itself.  Beyond that anything I might say
on the topic would likely be just a rant, and the source 
probably ought to be treated as being overly biased anyway.  :-)
