The form (:pagetextvar:some value:) can be multiline as of lately. It is 
slightly more compicated to change than for the other types of PTV:

    $page['text'] = str_replace("(:$myPTV:$oldPTVvalue:)",
       "(:$myPTV:$newPTVvalue:)", $page['text']);

Make sure $newPTVvalue contains no ":)".
