I was also leaning toward "index"

It's also an easy label to use in a tutorial on how the wiki works to
refer to
"the index pages..." where as most users think of  "home page" as a single
page for the entire wiki and multiple "home pages" is again confusing...
and "Overview" doesn't work because any such pages will not have any text,
other than the links, while others may contain all the text for that project
(where it is a simple task).

"Directory" could also work... but again, won't make sense where  a
"work area"
has a single page only...

OK, "Index" it shall be.

We can always use (:title Overview:) or whatever,
if the page content calls for a more descriptive-unique label in the UI...
