[pmwiki-users] Groupskin not loaded in farm

A "mystery" with one of my PmWiki farms:

A - In one of the wikis in this farm, I want to use for one of its 
Groups a group-specific skin (call it "galleri").  To invoke this skin, 
I have in the wiki a local/galleri.php file, with a $Skin='galleri'; 
statement. This works as expected and wanted in my local (Win, easyPHP) 
test environment.

B - The live wiki, on shared hosting (linux), also works fine - EXCEPT - 
the galleri skin is not used for the galleri Group, probably because 
galleri.php is never read (no other setting in this file is recognized 
either)! (Putting galleri.php in the home wiki's local directory doesn't 
change this.) I can't see any difference between the test and the live 
wiki version that could explain the difference in function.

Explanation - hint - workaround?
