[pmwiki-users] ZAP revisions update

Hi all...

I've been making some minor changes to zap and seem to have gotten a
few more things working:

* zap has a minor fix to it's session creation function to eliminate
errors in sidebars, etc. One little "@" symbol makes a huge
difference! Also added some nice enhancements to the zap vars markup
used in GTD that are very nice.

* zapnews seems to be updated and working. Let me know if anyone
would like to help test this. I'm working on the list mgmt part of it
now (zapplus--logging).

* zapfiles has improved renaming capabilities. Can change the names
of a whole array of pages easily using zap's pageshortcuts. I'm using
it at home on my ZAP GTD project management system to archive
completed tasks (check the boxes, click a button and it changes them
from Tasks.Thread to History.Thread).

* I'm also in the process of adding a zapplus module in the next few
days (only a partial release currently available). It will eventually
have the following features:

logging: be able to append/prepend log entries (lines), sort
them, delete, etc.
insert: allows you to insert content (before/after) in a page
(similar to Fox).
textreplace: do a search and replace of simple text strings in
multiple pages.
listfmt: be able to take a csv list and construct various kinds
of display items.

Thise last feature was in zap before but will be moved to the zapplus
module instead, as it is not really a core function. This will be the
only markup that will break for the new release.

Just thought I'd ask if anyone has any items they want to add to the
wishlist while I'm reworking the modules...

Cheers,
Dan

PS. zapchat still needs a bit of reworking. I will probably be using
logging or insertion rather than pagelists for zapchat in the future,
as the current approach has performance issues. Also zapcart has not
yet been updated, because I want to add some more configurability to
it. Will get around to these one of these days... If anyone needs
either of these any time soon, let me know.
