Google Map API v.2.2.0-pre8 is available for immediate download.[1]
This release fixes a serious bug with Internet Explorer. It appears IE
does not like trailing commas in arrays, and it took me a while to
realize it also doesn't tell you where the error is located.

We also have extended icon support. Beyond the original 'A-Z', I have
enabled access to 256 Google Earth icons. To make it easier to find
these little gems, I've added (:gma-show:), which lists all the icons
by palette.

   * To use a mark, you use "marker='A-Z'".
   * To use a Google Earth icon, you use "marker='2:14'", where the 2
represents the palette, and 14 represents the icon.

I apologize for the delay in fixing the IE bug and extended delay in
implementing icon support.
