I have maybe found an alternative, using MarkupToHTML() instead 
MarkupExpression(),
combined with an other HTMLtoText() like function, ...
It should do the job, ...
the plus is that I can reuse markup "as is" with all options, ... the minus 
is that I can not choose the seperator unless it can be specified in the fmt
