[pmwiki-users] Check for existence of page?

I seem to be having a problem with some ConditionalMarkup.

I create a new page in the system: MTD.20100416001

However, the below doesn't appear to be working for me. "Testing
something" doesn't appear whether the page exists or not.

(:if exists MTD.2*:)
Testing something.
(:ifend:)

What am I missing?
