In the PageLists page there is a sentence reading:

"The minus sign (-) or exclamation mark (!) can be used to indicate
the logical not."

Nearly all examples I've ever seen for pagelists use the minus sign
(that's certainly my practice), but probably there are some users out
there that use the bang...
