*, whereas <<a href="http://pmwiki.org/wiki/PmWiki/PageListTemplates#specialreferences" target="_blank">http://pmwiki.org/wiki/PmWiki/PageListTemplates#specialreferences</a>><br>
and the source code consider *, <, =, > as indicators to replace with<br>
a page name.<br>

But I'll go with your suggestion in any case, since otherwise I'd have<br>
to differentiate between {Attach:=/duck.jpg$Filesize} and<br>
{Attach:=$Filesize} which seems more obfuscated than the difference<br>
between {=Attach:duck.jpg$Filesize} and {Attach:=$Filesize}.<br>
