I agree that this behaviour has puzzled me for some time, and I have been meaning to submit a bug report.<div><br><div>I think it is a bug because it is inconsistent and unexpected. Everywhere else name means page name, and group means group name.</div>

</div>The "order=name" means the full name of the pages, which includes the group<br>
portion. At one point we discussed using "order=fullname" to mean group+name,<br>
and leave "order=name" for "name only", but decided that ordering by group<br>
was the far more common case and deserved to be the shorter one.<br>

You should be able to do "order=$Name,$Group", which will<br>
sort alphabetically by name only (without the group), and then by<br>
group if there are any identical names. The ability to use page<br>
variables for sorting is describe briefly in the order= option<br>
of <a href="http://www.pmwiki.org/wiki/PmWiki/PageLists" target="_blank">http://www.pmwiki.org/wiki/PmWiki/PageLists</a>.<br>
