Why does the function call Qualify() when assigning PTV values from a
source page? If a value includes a page variable it will be expanded
to a fully qualified variable, i.e.

{$LastModified} to {Group.SourcePage$LastModified}

Is that necessary?

I find such string expansions undesirable for editng PTV data.

I'm sure this came up before, but I forgot the answer, or a way to
deal with this.
