BTW, PmWiki versions 1.0.0 and later can always use '?' for the 
query string portion, even if the wiki is configured to use
the '?pagename=' syntax.  I.e.,

    http://www.pmwiki.org/wiki?pagename=Main.HomePage&action=edit
and
    http://www.pmwiki.org/wiki?pagename=Main.HomePage?action=edit

both work.
