I agree it's pretty nasty, yet Wikipedia is doing it somehow (but perhaps
on a limited basis), see http://fr.wikipedia.org .

Also, I think the issue of accented characters in WikiWords is
affected only by implementations of IRI (Internationalized Resource
Identifiers) and not IDN (Internationalized Domain Names). PmWiki doesn't
really care what appears in the domain name if it's ASCII.
See http://www.w3.org/International/O-URL-and-ident.html.

I tried the URLs/addresses you sent and they seem to work okay for
me, can you be more specific about what isn't working?

The URL of the ?lh?Co?tAmbig? page is
   http://www.pmichaud.com/work/beta/pmwiki.php/I18N/%d4lh%e0Co%eftAmbig%fc
does this look correct or work?

Also, keep in mind that I'm actively working on the beta version even
as I write this, and sometimes "fatal errors" are really from me
being in the process of editing/debugging code. If this occurs it's
definitely okay to go ahead and report observed problems, but it
might also be worth reloading the page in a minute or two and see
if things are changing.

...or I can just quote it back, as I've done here, and if it's the same
as what you sent you can be certain I received it correctly. Or we
can use the version in the listserv archive if it hasn't been mangled
by a MIME gateway.
