Tried doing a search on the archive but couldn't find a search phrase that

didn't match a whole bunch of stuff.

I'd like a way to exclude certain words from automatically becoming a
wikiword. For example, in the pages we have we refer to terms that have
uppercase letters in them that we really don't want a page reference to,
such as VistA.

Perhaps a simple text file of the words to not automatically make into
wikiwords would work.

---------

As a stop-gap solution bracket the words with the escape sequence [= ...
=] -> they won't be interpreted.

Otherwise, this sounds like a job for.... SingleWikiWords! (See Balu's
excellent work at
http://www.b-a-l-u.de/index.php/Projects/SingleWikiWords) Which despite
the title could theoretically replace any string appearing in the wiki
(single word or no) with appropriate other markup -- or, in this case, a
non-wiki-activated markup.

Ie, say you want to have ISO9002 to NOT be a WikiWord (as per your
request). in SingleWikiWords you'd have this:

'ISO9002' => '[=ISO9002=]'

And every time a user entered ISO9002 on a page, without manually adding
the escape sequence, it will be added in anyway.

HOWEVER, pm has noted that SingleWikiWords as currently "implemented"
leave a major security hole--potentially malicious HTML, Jave, PHP or
other code can be entered to propogate throughout the wiki, automatically.
One bit of security lies in password-protecting the page of
SingleWikiWords, but the code can still be entered by those "in the know."
pm gave a brief example that would cause pmwiki to delete itself. ouch.

Additionally, the current code also has some problems interpreting items
with punctuation, etc.

I lack anything like PHP programming ability (VBA is pushing it, for me!),
and can't work on the development. If anybody else wants to handle it,
PLEASE! My users would love to see this working!
