Not really. Even disregarding having a separate directory for the cookbook
scripts (which I think is probably a better solution in your case), you will
probably only have a handful of cookbook scripts there. It's only these that
need to be renamed. You could simply rename them all to be cb-<name>.php
(although, if you're going to do this, then it's cleaner to put them in a new
directory)

No, as I understand it, they'll be forced, at the very least, to have a
capital first letter.
