[Pmwiki-users] Reflection on link syntax

Hi
I was just adding some links to a wiki page with lots of external links.
Some of the URIs were already in there in the text and I just had to move
them, while others I inserted by pasting. What I noticed was that I
sometimes instinctively wanted to write
[[The PmWiki web site http://www.pmwiki.org]]
rather than using the current syntax:
[[http://www.pmwiki.org The PmWiki web site]]
I also felt this when copying this text from an e-mail:
Patents Search, http://www.globalspec.com, - a digital collection
of patents, patent applications and grant information.
Here the reason for why I'd like to write th link text first is of course
that it's much more similar to the original text, and it takes less
modifications. However, I also noticed the same thing when the link was at
the end of original text:
Materials properites - critical information for designers.
http://some.uri
where it felt more natural to convert it into:
[[Materials properities http://some.uri]] -- critical information
for designers
Has anyone else noticed something like this? I.e. that they'd prefer
writing the link text first? (I've noticed this before, but this was the
first time I started reflecting on *why* I felt like this)
/Christian
