Most browsers can deal with it okay, but it fails the W3C
validator (and the HTML 4 spec explicitly says that <p> cannot
contain other block elements).  This is one of those things that
greatly complicates PmWiki's design (as well as forces incorrect
semantics on HTML authors).

However, this has been fixed finally for XHTML 2, which will make
things a lot better.
