Okay, I think I'm officially stumped on this one.

I reinstalled http://www.pmichaud.com/sandbox/au/pmwiki.php (2.1.beta12)
from scratch using your config.php, and everything seems to work fine.
(Linux, Apache 1.3, PHP 4.3.11)  Feel free to set up passwords
and groups on this site to try to recreate the error.

I've also tried the same config.php on my Windows box (Win XP, PHP 4.4.0,
PmWiki standalone server) and I can't seem to duplicate the error.

So, there's something bizarre happening somewhere... but I'm at a
loss to know what it might be.  :-(
