[Pmwiki-users] setting a cookie with author name

On pmwiki.org, the system sets a cookie with my author name, saving me from 
retyping it endlessly.

How can I get the public field in my farm to do the same?

It is not an issue for the protected fields, because there I force the 
author to the logon username .

My (only) public instance of PmWiki is at:

I am still fine tuning the passwords, so now is the time to spam it. ;->
