At 2005-03-03 09:07 PM +1100, Algis Kabaila is rumored to have said:
>I want to "lock" with a password the side bar - main menu area. I did see

>do not remember neither the location of it, nor the command. If somebody

Any page can be protected with an edit password. To protect the
Main.SideBar page, add "?action=attr" to the URL like this:

         pathto/pmwiki/Main/SideBar?action=attr

In the small form that appears, enter an edit password.
