[pmwiki-users] AuthUser - password creation and change

Of course it would be nice to be able to create and change the passwords 
over a web-interface,  and users "should be able" to change there 
initial passwords.

I was  looking for solutions:

1) htpasswd ... 
    Seems to be interactive, prompts for Password verification
    therefore  probably  not applicable

2)*** there is a php-class around:***

3) there is also a perl scriipt

4) may be the script of the recipe UserAuth could be used, too

What is planned for pmwiki in near future?
Is already something in preparation?
