[pmwiki-users] active Amrkup within Markup

Hi,
is it somehow possible to activate a markup within a markup.

e.g. something like this (which does not work)

function activatemarkup($test) {
    	markup ('test2','links','<something>',"<whatever>");
}
markup ('test,'directives','<something>',"activatemarkup('$0'));

I just want the markup "test2" to be only then available when the markup 
"test" is used. Any ideas to achieve this?
