As pointed out here, this is actually "the problem" : I would like to have
the  "variables" defined in pages for which I can give write access so that
the users can change their "value" without having any right to the rest of
the site.

The best solution I read so far is to use (:include:), but the it has to be
for complete lines/paragraphs and not just words.  This is acceptable for
what I want to do anyway.

However, if someone could come up with PageVariableExtensions working across
pages, it would be very useful.
