Is anything appearing in the apache error logs?

I'm using site-wide authentication so I put these in my config file :

$DefaultPasswords['admin'] = 'id:friz';
$DefaultPasswords['read'] = '@dataeng';
$DefaultPasswords['edit'] = '@dataeng';

Perhaps you can try that first and then work on the attr pages?
