[pmwiki-users] get variables out of a wikipage

I want to try to get some additional fariables ($Wikititle, $Skin, 
$DefaultGroup, ...) out of a Site.ConfigPage. So that a field admin can 
go to the filedconfig page and write

wikititle titlename
skin skinname
 . ... .

could someone point me to a startingpoint for that? Somthin similar is 
done be intermap functionality and  authuser. What I have to take care 
about, about security etc.?
