Kjettil,

In a recent revision of FAST Data, I rewrote its emailing code to give
it basic mail list capabilities. Unfortunately I have not had time to
test and thoroughly debug it. I have also not been able to put
together extensive documentation or produce any code snippets--and
won't for a week or two at least.

But, it might just work perfectly for you as is, and the basic
documentation is all up if you read carefully. Give it a try and let
me know what happens. Also if you give me more spec's on how you want
it to work, I'll give you some pointers on how to do it, or consider
changing the recipe if it can't do it.

I'll be out of town next week, and may have limited email access, but
will try and check in when I can. And when I return I'll fix any bugs
you find--as I plan on using this myself on my site.

I should add, FAST Data can also store data from a subscription page
to a temp location, email out a confirmation email with a random
number generated, with a link, check if user enters right code, and
only then complete the subscription process if you want.

Oh, and with the new email templating features, you should be able to
create really nice looking emails (text or html I suppose), by simple
entering some basic form fields, and allowing the template to create
the rest. Can also probably preview if you want.

So anyway, if you can wait a couple weeks, FAST Data should be able to
get you taken care of. I'll be happy to work with you.

Cheers,
Caveman
