I'm guessing that you've recently switched to 2.2.0-beta,
and that you need to switch {$Group} to {*$Group}.
Otherwise %define=hl{$Group}% only defines selfgroup for
the group in which the %define% was written, as opposed to
whatever page is currently being displayed.
