Feel free to have a look at HtpasswordForm[1], ie. a convenient way to
manage htpasswd/htgroup files involved into the AuthUser[2] integrated
authorization system of PmWiki.

You're also free to shoot yourself in the foot... ;)

PmWiki is a real swiss-army knife, being both as versatile as it can
be powerful. But as it's known for all sharp-edged things, you may be
wounded while playing with it, and changing a knife for some scissors
won't make this  kind of risk vanish...
