Patrick, sorry I replied to you only instead of to the list. Just posting for 
the list a little fix I am using now : got it working.

If anyone has similar problem, this can be set in config.php:

$PageTextVarPatterns['(:var:...:)']
  = '/\\(:(\\w[-\\w]*):\\s?([^\\)].*?)?:\\)/s';
