[pmwiki-users] Extended characters in links

Hello,

After a long hiatus I've been working on a recipe to enter Indic language
text in transliteration and have it appear properly in various scripts
in PmWiki. I've had a good degree of success with this but now I'm
having trouble with links.

For example, using a particular transliteration scheme,

  rAmAnuja => rām&257;nuja

However the right side does now work well as a PmWiki link:

http://127.0.0.1/pmwiki/Main/R&action=edit

How do I get this to work?
