I have now updated the recipe to add or update a
$:Rating.. page text variable automatically on a rating action.

such $:Rating.. PTVs can be used in pagelists etc. to generate rating
lists.
For instance if there is a rater markup on pages in  a group a
pagelist could show the pages in order of ratings.

The PTV created holds the average rating value.
Each rating action recreates a new average rating value from the data
in the log file.
