I can try and mimic the basic template provided by .mobi consortium as
a starting point

I have visited *many* mobile sites during these days: that template
seems to make more sense than most of all I have seen.
I think is is sufficiently basic and flexible/open to be a good
companion to the standard pmwiki skin.

I'll try, at least.
