Thanks - I had guessed this was part of it (actually I have this 
function heavily customised).  However, I can't see how it's used on the 
incoming page request?

My thought was to compare the output of MakePageName with the incoming 
request and if they don't match to do a redirect to keep it canonical? 
Grateful for further pointers on how to dig deeper into the request 
handling code?
